They tried to conned me with their winning lottery announcement. I did not take it seriously until I realized that yes, I was going to go as far as sending a copy of my passport!. I stopped right there because identity theft is what it’s all about nowadays. It’s good to fight back. Tell everyone it is a scam. Manuela

just to get even!
April 28th, 2005 at 7:13 am
I am from Russia, Moscow and have just received the same shity message! It’s so easy to becone a donkey in a few seconds.
This is just a masterpiece of the Nigerian criminals!..
April 28th, 2005 at 7:15 am
What I can’t understand is that how they can use our personal data, i.e. name, sex, age, address?
April 29th, 2005 at 11:02 am
I received same e-mail stating easy money go to me! Don’t see any problems giving them real personal data! Let’s see what they’re up to! When it comes to money to pay “administrative fees” just offer them to deduct it from $2,5 million and see how they do that. That’s it!
April 29th, 2005 at 11:10 am
Did anyone receive a copy of very nicely prepared “certificate” from them?
April 29th, 2005 at 11:12 am
I didn’t respond to it. What does the “certificate” look like?
April 29th, 2005 at 11:37 am
It looks like typical prize certificates with serial number, with a sigh like star on the right side and rest goes like “This is to certify that so and so is the winner of British LotteryInt.” The security code is given, in general, looks impressive but signatures of Mr. Michael Roning and secretary look suspicious!
May 4th, 2005 at 2:58 pm
I got a a mail with a name Hupert Stijn from amsterdam, the Netherlands with a telepone number. I called the number and became suspicious when I heard the accent.
Let’s do something about them. For in this world where money is always needed, people can go mad in few seconds. Hearing of so much of money, I mean.
May 5th, 2005 at 9:38 am
Now it comes to very interesting point! After they got all necessary info off me, they suggest to pay(maximum attention!!) 2,500 euro for handling wire tranfer of 2,5 million to my bank account, but already notified me that “prize is protected by a hardcover insurance policy, which makes it impossible to deduct any amount from the money before it has been remitted to you”. Very smart!!! A friend of mine is sitting in London at the moment and gave a call to so called Mr. Damien Duff from a courrier company, but interesting thing was that a person stayed around office at 9.00 P.M. Isn’t that strange?
May 5th, 2005 at 9:55 am
Ahhh… There’s the payoff!
Wow. So, um, like only 2,500 euro to collect your 2,5 millions? Geez. That seems reasonable. And if it’s covered under insurance, yeah, um, that sounds very likely.
Did you buy a ticket? Did they claim that you needed a ticket?
See if you can get 250 euros from them to cover the cost of wiring the 2,500 euros to them. Also see if you can get _their_ bank account info to wire it into. It’s like a game!

Dear all! Don’t even hesitate a moment that all this is a bullshit, sorry to say so! I’ve gone almost through all this procedure just to see what they gonna do on the next step untill I got an “innocent” offer to pay administration fee of 2500,- (not sure if it was in pounds or euro). Wanna tell you, those guys like to bite big pieces, and if they continue frauding that means with some poore creatures it works! So, be careful and personal thanks from my side to the host of this site for helping people to open their eyes wide!

Good thing I haven’t gone that far and good thing I wasn’t all that serious about getting TWO MILLION FUCKING DOLLARS…I WISH IT WERE TRUE. I was such a sucker for giving them personal information but good thing I haven’t given them any bank account number or anything. I actually emailed them telling them that if it was a scam that I would SUE them! They haven’t contacted me since yet, i’m waiting for next round!!! I’ll show em! two can play this game right! but I’m not scamming, i’m just giving them a taste of their own medicine!
June 17th, 2005 at 8:06 am
Hi there! Come down, ebonee214, how would you sue non-existing scambags? Just let them play, till it makes sense to play, because they might feel the same feeling of joy in anticipation of money from poor things they play with. It also takes them time and efforts to print, scan and send all this garbage of theirs! So let them work hard!
June 23rd, 2005 at 11:06 am

Yahoo! Messenger NEW - crystal clear PC to PC
July 6th, 2005 at 11:21 am
That’s a pretty detailed website. Complete with fake “transferring you to secure server” pages, and informative server messages like:
and
All built in Frontpage, of course.
Sounds very technical and secure, eh? Not really.
Some interesting code on their site, particularly in the verification area:
View Source if you want the, um, SUPER DUPER TOP SECRET VERIFICATION CODE:
<script language="javascript">
<!--//
function pasuser(form) {
if (form.id.value=="BTL/491OXI/04") {
if (form.pass.value=="12/25/0304") {
location="verifying.htm"
} else {
alert("Invalid Batch Number")
}
} else { alert("Invalid File Reference Number")
}
}
//-->
</script>
So, you can simply enter BTL/491OXI/04 for the Reference Number and 12/25/0304 for the Batch Number. This will take you to a Verifying page. Then, AMAZINGLY, you can see that YOU’VE WON!!!! WOOOO HOOOOO! Now I can finally buy that dream house in Jamaica.
So… once again. Do NOT give these guys any information.

HI all, I think I almost became the most recent victim. What helped me was the experince of my roommate at university who almost lost $10,000. to fraudlers in Nigeria who were telling him that they will offer him 25% of $25Million if he claimed the money that was left by some oil billioneer in their bank. He almost payed the $10,000 dollarsin legal fees etc, until one of them got saved and confessed that bank has never existed.
Anyway, they were not smart enough as you can tell from the two emails they sent me.

hi everyone
it made you think about what you would do with all that money.
the e-mail was pretty obvious that it was a hoax. think about it, if you had won the lottery a representative would of showed up at your front door with a big fat check, and of course tv cameras. i don’t think no one will ever catch them. but at least the e-mail made someone down on there lucks feel happy, and rich for at least 5 minutes.
best of luck on your search for these crazy fools.

thank you for having this website, i wasn’t sure what to make of the email and this along with everyelse’s comments helped out termendously.
November 24th, 2005 at 2:31 am
Yeah I got this same stupid e-mail. I knew it was a fraud from the get go cause they called me Sir and a lot of thier words were incorrectly spelt and why do you need to spell 300,000 after you quoted it. I also agree if you had won the lottery, someone would have been at your door with a check or have called you. People who win the lottery don’t need to give out info cause the company would have had it already. I just got my e-mail yesterday and I’m still playing to see how far they are gonna take me
They use your info to get passports in your name as far as I know.
The certificate is bullshit even as a copy and the signature of the president looks like my two year old wrote it.

If you wish to receive your fund through an electronic bank transfer, direct to your bank account within 24 hours, you will thereby be charged For a COMMISSION OF TRANSFER of $700.00.
International customer (receiver) has to pay for his/her chosen option before any transaction commences.
The charges are a little high, because of the international shipping rate and the hard insurance cover we have undertaken, in case of loss, damage or theft of your highly sensitive document. We assume all responsibilities in case of any eventualities.
The insurance company GEOTRUST declined reverse payment for the courier, stating that it is against their professional policy towards ensuring the safe delivery of the draft to you. That if a reverse payment is made, and something goes wrong, that we/you cannot sue the courier company or insurance company to recover the full value of the fund as stipulated in the draft since payment for insurance cover was not made at point of mailing.
With the above reason, reverse payment is ruled out. Forward the cost of mailing your draft with any of the services cost you choose above to us.
Important Note: That your courier charges cannot be deducted from your winnings due to Article 1186 section 45 subsection 2.3 of Constitution of the UNITED KINGDOM as relates to Financial and freight matters, which are duly codified in the UNITED KINGDOM LAW and we have your bank check with us issued and made payable to your name only. We cannot cash it ourselves.
After choosing a preferred option of delivery, make payment of the cost to the dispatch officer through WESTERN UNION MONEY TRANSFER to the names and address as follows:
Mr. Solomon Cisse
45 ELMDENE RD,
WOOLICH SE 18 6TZ.
LONDON, UNITED-KINGDOM.
After which a payment receipt will be forwarded to you. You are to forward payment details to this office via email, which must include the following.
NAME OF SENDER.
ADDRESS OF SENDER.
AMOUNT.
MONEY TRANSFER CONTROL NUMBERS. (M.T.C.N)
Upon receipt of the above, your parcel delivery will commence immediately. I want you to note that your parcel will get to you in two days after your transfer has being confirmed.
We are glad to be of service to you.
$700.00 to do a bank transfer… I think not!!!

I too received this email from the British Online National Lottery. I responded with basic info then started looking them up online. I played along until I received the email from the courier telling me I had to pay at least $1,000# dollars to get my money. Now really, $1,000+ to send a .9 oz package across the pond! (I live in the US) I told them to keep my “winnings” as they obviously need it more than I could ever want it.
December 27th, 2005 at 9:38 am
also, I am receiving more “sweepstake winning” emails, phone calls and travel brochures. My guess is that my contact info has been put on a list and sold. One email was from supposedly from somewhere in Southern Africa in the name of a sports organization. It mentioned that I must donate 10% of my winnings of $1,000,000+ to “needy children of Africa.” Which needy children, Africa is a big continent!!
