WordPress 2.5.1 released

So the new version of WordPress is out, and it’s got over 70 new bug fixes, performance enhancements and also addresses some security issues. As always, upgrading is fairly straightforward.

Version 2.5.1 of WordPress is now available. It includes a number of bug fixes, performance enhancements, and one very important security fix. We recommend everyone update immediately, particularly if your blog has open registration. The vulnerability is not public but it will be shortly.

  1. So, I just had an idea and wondered what you thought…first, have you seen/used this plugin for WP?

    I have used it on on three separate blogs and it works nicely.

    But my thought was a widget to leverage this code base, but would provide a manage link for all you blogs. So, since your primary WP install is here at gabrielserafini.com, you could install this theoretical plugin on this site, enter your creds for all your blogs, and get a dashboard for your sites, seeing which are at what version, and an option to update said version using this WPAU codebase. Sound like something fun? I’m interested if you want to make a manager UI for it.
